Title Montessori Teacher
Salary EXCELLENT
Location North London
Job Information

PPA Education is working closely in partnership with a ‘good’ Montessori Nursery local to Finsbury Park to help recruit for a Deputy Head Teacher as the previous Deputy left due to having a baby.

I have been to the nursery myself, I have met with the Head Teacher, staff and children and was amazed by how professional but at the same time how friendly and courteous everyone was to me. The nursery felt to me like a very pleasant, harmonious and welcoming environment to be in.

The lay out of the nursery is a class room environment, with excellent resources for the children and a nice free space for them to learn and play in.

The position available will suit someone that is ideally trained with a Montessori qualification and/or with experience of working in a Montessori Nursery. You will be working as part of a team of 15 members of staff, both full and part time workers, which are very welcoming and friendly.

The nursery is located within easy walking distance of the Piccadilly line, which will be convenient for anyone that is within easy commuting distance to this line.

The nursery is open on a term time only basis and the working hours will be from 8:30am – 3:30pm.

The nursery holds 2 sessions a day, the morning session from 9-12 and the afternoon session from 12-3pm. Each session can hold up to 42 children.

You will need to have the following experience, qualifications and qualities to be considered for this role:

  • Montessori Teaching Qualification
  • Experience of working in a Deputy Managers post
  • You must be highly attentive to all the children’s developmental needs
  • Have the ability to effectively implement the school’s educational ethos, policies and procedures with enthusiasm and grace.
  • A high level of written and spoken English is essential
  • Confident with managing staffing needs
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Experience of dealing with parents demands, issues or any general enquiries
  • Able to maintain and deliver high standards of care for the children, staff and parents
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Have experience of behaviour management
  • Be able to maintain the nurseries reputation for being professional
  • The children that you will caring for are aged from 2 – 5 years, so experience with this age group is compulsory.

Excellent rates of pay, training and opportunities to progress with your career are available.

An up to date CRB is essential and a new application will be made upon successful offer of employment with the nursery.
