Our client is a Pupil Referral Service that works with students who have been referred as a result of permanent exclusion from school or for special tuition students who have a Statement of Special Education Needs and for whom there is no alternative provision.

The Service is divided into key stages which are located at different locations in West London. Schools make referrals to either the Local Authority’s Pupil Co-ordination Panel and/or the Local Authority’s Special Educational Needs Panel. If deemed appropriate, these two panels then refer students to the PRU. Students must be a resident in the London Borough of this West London borough

This position is for an unexpected vacancy as Deputy Head of the KS3 provison, a proven track record is absolutely essential, ideally with the ability to discuss experience with multi disciplinary teams.

This is a relatively unusual position in that the SLT have asked us to source a teacher that can provide literacy and numeracy boosters to secondary age students at a Pupil Referral Unit, who are currently working at a Primary Education level.

There are multiple reasons for referral to this facility, it must be stressed that this is NOT a behavioural unit specifically. It is mixed for both boys and girls and the capacity is around 40 students.

This particular role is to work with very small groups doing literacy and numeracy work.

We are welcoming applications for this very exciting post in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The headteacher of the school has asked us to work with her to source a teacher that can analyse and drive forward the Gifted & Talented Provision at the school. This role does come with a TLR.

The role will consist of working as a support teacher and/or teacher to cover leadership and management time – this will be to normal allocation percentages for a middle leader within a primary school.

The role is specifically KS2, there is no involvement with KS1 whatsoever. It is essential that applicants are able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Gifted & Talented programme and have a quasi track record in either developing or using a pre-defined provision.

This person will also be responsible for looking after the external bodies that come into school to provide music teaching, a music background would be advantageous (though not essential to this role) there is no requirement to be able to play an instrument although piano would be desirable for assistance with assemblies.

The role will be for one academic year initially with the potential for contract at ant point after term one, this is heavily dependent upon performance.
